BRUNO FERNANDES is to undergo a psychiatric test ahead of his proposed Manchester United transfer, with confidants concerned about the player’s state of mind.
The Portuguese playmaker, 25, is close to joining United in a £60 million move, but friends and family are worried that Fernandes is deliberately destroying his career by doing so, and believe he urgently needs support.
A source told us: “We don’t know what’s going through Bruno’s head – why would he want to go there? United has been a graveyard for so many players in recent times, and you know it’s bad when even Ashley Young doesn’t want to stay at the club”
Since Alex Ferguson’s departure from the Red Devils in 2013, the club has laid waste to a string of world-class attacking players. The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Angel Di Maria and Memphis Depay have all done their best Bebe impressions at Old Trafford, as the mist of mediocrity around the club engulfs even the best talents.
Bruno Fernandes’s willingness to join this flock of flops has caused serious alarm among those around him, leading to drastic action. The attacking midfielder will be taken to a Lisbon mental health facility tomorrow in an attempt to get his head straight and save his career.
Current United captain Ashley Young, who’s expected to complete a move away from the club in the coming days, was also asked about the situation by reporters. He said: “Whatever you do, Bruno, don’t go to United. Do you really want to spend your peak years playing under that Norweigan fraud?”
