Could West Ham United’s European adventure continue?
It would certainly seem so if the odds being provided by one of the top sportsbooks around is anything to go by.
According to the Betway Sportsbook, West Ham are priced at 7/8 which makes them favourites to beat Eintracht Frankfurt in their UEFA Europa League Semi-Final clash. Of course, there are some that would be thinking about this with some real thought ahead of Thursday’s clash, as there are a number of special bonus offers available to utilise.
Unsurprisingly, it has been a fairytale of a journey for the Hammers under David Moyes this season, with the club continuing to build on the excellent work that the Scottish manager has been able to do home and away from the London Stadium.
Indeed, there is no one that will be singing “you’re getting sacked in the morning!” toward him!
The Hammers, who were unfortunate not to come away with a point against Chelsea in their Premier League fixture at the weekend, have worked hard and have managed to exceed expectations in Europe.
They managed to defeat Sevilla in the Round of 16 before defeating Olympique de Lyonnais in the quarter-final stage of Europe’s secondary club competition, thus setting up the tie against the German outfit.
However, there is no doubt that the English outfit will face one of their toughest tests on Thursday, as Eintracht Frankfurt have proven to be a solid team and one that needs to be taken with the right approach.
The Bundesliga opponents – who have struggled a little bit in the domestic competition – have managed to get past two Spanish opponents to book their place in the semi-finals of this tournament.
They managed to edge past Real Betis in the Round of 16 before putting on a real show against FC Barcelona in the last round. They took a 1-1 draw to the Camp Nou for the second leg and managed to escape with a 3-2 victory in Spain on the night and shocked most of the football world with the result!
Of course, both teams will be heading into this game with concerns regarding players and their availability for a variety of different reasons.
However, with a spot in the UEFA Europa League Final up for grabs against either Rangers FC or RB Leipzig, both will want to ensure they are ready for the first whistle on Thursday night at the London Stadium; where many believe West Ham will have the advantage.
